CBS Story on Genetic Genealogy

Filed under: Genealogy — curtbryan @ 12:02 am

Neat CBS “60 Minutes” segment on Genetic Genealogy this Sunday evening after the football games.  Interesting and informative!  If you missed it live, check-out the CBS website.  Great quote from the show about the importance of knowing one’s family history: “It’s like discovering American history through yourself.”

  1. Yes, a very interesting segment. Glad that they pointed out which DNA was being tracked and what the real percentage of ancestry was involved. Wonder what would happen if I’d get mine done

  3. You should get yours done. I’m thinking of having mine done through the National Geographic’s project. As an aside, we’re having a Genetic Genealogy Program at the library in November–details forthcoming.
